Personal Trainer Examination Reimbursement Policy
Each of the following conditions for CPT examination reimbursement applies. No
other conditions or exceptions apply unless provided in writing, by the President of
NPTI Colorado, and prior to enrolling for the examination.
This policy applies to the reimbursement of fees for ONE examination for NPTI Colorado graduates who choose to
take the CPT examination from one of the following non-NPTI certification organizations:
- ACE / American Council on Exercise
- ACSM / American College of Sports Medicine
- NASM / National Academy of Sports Medicine
- NSCA / National Strength and Conditioning Association
Or, any other proctored CPT equivalent examination that meets the standards set forth by the International Health
and Racquet Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) and / or is an NCCA accredited CPT equivalent examination.
- This policy applies to NPTI Colorado graduates ONLY. This policy does not apply to students from
other NPTI locations or to students who have NOT graduated from NPTI Colorado.
- NPTI Colorado will reimburse 50% of the then-current certification member rate and the certification's
early registration rate.
- NPTI issues reimbursement checks four times annually which would be upon NPTI's regularly
scheduled new student enrollment in January, April, July, and October. In conjunction with the
quarterly issuance of reimbursement checks noted above, NPTI will reimburse the NPTI Graduate
within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a.) color copy of the actual certifying body's CPT
certificate, and b.) a copy of the actual grades / scores from the examination
- The NPTI Colorado graduate must have completed the entire NPTI course of study (i.e. all make-up
time / make-up content must have been completed and the graduate must have an aggregate, overall
grade point average (GPA) of "B" or better.
- The NPTI Colorado graduate must pass the CPT examination (i.e. any passing score will suffice).
- The NPTI Colorado graduate must be paid in full and not have any outstanding debts owed to NPTI
Colorado prior to receiving any examination reimbursement.
- This reimbursement policy does not apply to a non-CPT examination.
- If the NPTI Colorado graduate fails the CPT examination and subsequently passes the CPT
examination, then the same reimbursement described herein applies, however, the passing grade must
be achieved within one year of completing the NPTI course of study (i.e. within one year of NPTI
graduation date). This would also apply if the NPTI graduate failed one examination and chose to take
a different examination (i.e. if the NPTI graduate failed the NSCA - CPT and subsequently passed the
ACE - CPT examination).
