Full KOntact Kettlebell is more than a Kettlebell strength training seminar. This is a movement seminar, integrating skills from martial arts, qigong and assorted athletic development patterns into the curriculum. Participants will leave the day’s training with the basics skills and knowledge necessary to practice and progress in their own training and to lead clients through the basics of Kettlebell lifting.

Part I.
Course Overview, Warm-up and Mobility Drills

Discussion of purpose of course and outline of the various categories of Kettlebell lifting; Range of motion exercise and joint mobility drills to warm-up the body and prepare for the vigorous Kettlebell training to follow.

Part II.
Basic Kettlebell Drills

The advanced skills are built upon the basic movements. In this section the basics of Kettlebell lifting are taught with an emphasis on body mechanics and fluid application of force. Specific exercises include: Swing, Clean, Double Clean, Jerk, Double Jerk, Press, Double Press, Alternating Press, Push Press, Snatch, Front Squat.

Part III.
Animal Based Bodyweight Conditioning Exercises

Animal-based movement taken from the martial arts which teach full-body strength and coordination.

Part IV.
Qigong Breathing Exercise

Qigong is an ancient system of health-building which focuses on deep breathing combined with relaxation and flowing movements to increase mental clarity, concentration and recuperation.

Part V.
Questions and Answers

For each specific course the curriculum remains flexible and able to improvise based on the questions asked and the skill and retention level of the participants. At this stage, you have made it through the practice, and now is the opportunity to discuss theory, such as program design, assessment and other factors relevant to individualized training programs.
